The last few years have seen the emergence of sustainable design as a prominent design approach for buildings. Through active participation, research and dialogue, Assa Aharoni con. eng. ltd has come to an understanding of the philosophical and practical complexities of sustainable design. We have developed approaches and solutions which satisfy building owners’ desires for ecological responsibility and economic efficiency. We are also seeing the emergence of the U.S. Green Buildings Council (www.usgbc.org) and their LEED rating system for building design as the accepted standard for rating a building’s “greenness”. Assa Aharoni is the only electro-mechanical firm in Israel which already has a LEED Accreditation staff.
